WHY JOA FOR CLERMONT?
ABOUT JOA MACNALIE
I have been a resident of Clermont for fifteen years, having graduated from a local high school and returning upon the completion of my collegiate studies. I have sought justice for everyone and everything in my path, while constantly striving to be better, and to improve my community in whatever capacity I can.

At 29 years old, I have been a two-time college graduate, a decorated collegiate student-athlete, a mental health professional with a background in substance abuse and behavioral therapy, a best-selling author of two children's books and national curriculum; a doctoral-level student with a degree focus in Education, and now a declared candidate for Clermont City Council Seat 1.
As a young women of color, i have worked hard to get to where I am and here is where the reality stands:
New perspectives and a more diverse government make a difference. At a time when income inequality, equality, affordable housing, and transportation have emerged as key local issues, that kind of understanding and empathy can make a big difference.
I want to be that difference and that’s why I ask you to support my bid for City Council Seat 1 this November.
